Baby Sweater :D [Jan. 22nd, 2009|09:02 am]
I FINALLY finished the baby sweater I was working on.

I'm pleased with the way it turned out, and so is Mister Richard.

I am currently knitting little socks to go with the baby sweater.  I have one sock down and one more to go.  I also have a ton of yarn, so I'll probably be making some more socks.  At least another two pairs.  They're quick knits, and I <3 making baby items because they are so cute.  This sweater would be adorable as an adult sweater, but I'd lose my patience very quickly with the cables.

You  can see the cables a bit more in that picture.

I'm hoping to be able to give it to Candace this weekend at church.  I have concluded that this yarn was WAY too expensive (over 52 dollars) to give away to somebody who I'm not close to.  I was uneasy buying the yarn for the original intended baby because I didn't know him (or the parents) well, but they were an older couple so they would take care of it better (I assume) than somebody my age or younger who just had a baby.  I need to look up care instructions though.  The yarn is a cashmere, merino, and microfiber blend from Rowan (Rowan RYC Cashsoft 4 Ply)
